Mike was part of the BBQ scene before most people even knew it was a scene. He was a regular on service calls with his father, who repaired commercial BBQ equipment. That early, hands-on experience gave Mike a deep understanding of the craft from the ground up.
After earning a Marketing degree from the University of North Texas, Mike continued working alongside his dad. But over time, he saw the cracks in the industry — outdated designs, inconsistent performance, and a need for smarter solutions. So he set out to build something better.
Today, as the driving force behind M&M BBQ Company, Mike leads with vision, grit, and a commitment to raising the bar for BBQ equipment everywhere. Under his leadership, the company continues to grow, forging a reputation for reliable performance, sharp design, and a deep respect for the barbecue community. Every piece of equipment reflects his belief that great BBQ starts with tools built by people who truly understand the craft.
Matt Sutton

Matt Sutton, Chief Design Officer / Owner
Matt earned his Marketing degree from the University of North Texas, but his hunger to create and build pushed him beyond the business world. That drive led him to Wyoming, where he attended WyoTech — graduating at the top of his class in Collision and Refinishing Technology, with specialties in Chassis Fabrication and Automotive Trim.
From there, Matt took his talents to California, diving into the world of high-end custom car fabrication. It was there that he sharpened his eye for detail, refined his craftsmanship, and developed the elevated aesthetic that would later become part of M&M BBQ’s DNA.
In 2017, the road led back home to Texas — and to M&M BBQ Company. As Chief Design Officer, Matt brings vision and function together. His signature minimalist style runs through every piece of equipment M&M builds, while the performance of each product speaks to his skill in fabrication and engineering. Always pushing boundaries, Matt continues to lead the charge in innovation, ensuring that every design isn’t just beautiful — it’s functional too.
Jacob Hunter

Jacob Hunter, Chief Operating Officer
Jacob joined M&M BBQ Company as Chief Operating Officer in November 2023, bringing with him decades of experience in business operations, financial strategy, and leadership. His career spans roles from Executive Chef to Regional Operations Director to COO, giving him a comprehensive perspective on how to grow and sustain thriving businesses.
At M&M BBQ, Jacob oversees the company’s financials, strategic planning, HR, and growth initiatives. He ensures business operations run smoothly while staying focused on the long-term vision. His leadership is grounded, deliberate, and fueled by a genuine passion for people and progress.
Known for scaling successful companies, Jacob blends acute business acumen with a deep love for BBQ, food, and hospitality. Though he prefers to stay behind the scenes, his impact is unmistakable—driven by heart, hustle, and a clear vision for sustainable success.

M&M BBQ Company was forged from a 30+ year friendship between Mike and Matt — two guys who’ve been side by side from elementary school through college and bonded over a love of barbecue that never quit.
Mike grew up hands-on, repairing smokers with his dad. Matt worked at a BBQ joint during college. So it only made sense they teamed up to build something better — high-performance BBQ equipment that blends deep roots with next-level innovation.
